History of its beginnings and the how and why we practice. Learn diaphragmatic breathing. Engaging in a practice that opens the heart and body for creativity. Personalized journals to show uniqueness. Cultivate Awareness: Discovering awareness of the mind and body connection by engaging in a practice that calms the mind and brings insight. Drawing awareness with different mediums followed by a journal entry. The Importance of the Breath: Learn Nadi Shadhana (alternate nasal breathing), a channel cleansing breath exercise. Study the connection between emotions and breathing. Focusing on reading and writing poetry. Intro to Meditation: Learning to stabilize the mind by practicing different forms of meditation followed by a moving meditation (asanas). Illustrating with different mediums, observations, and discoveries through meditation. |
